Clinical overview
The Defi 5 AED is a fully automated external defibrillator designed to deliver rapid, effective defibrillation therapy in emergency cardiac situations. With biphasic truncated exponential waveform technology and energy levels of 150, 150, and 200 joules, the device provides clinically proven shock sequences. The lock-out protection mechanism prevents inadvertent defibrillation, ensuring operator and patient safety during use.
Featuring 22 audible prompts and LED visual guidance, the Defi 5 supports both lay rescuers and healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The device includes 60 hours of internal memory for event documentation, with ECG signals and events transferable to computer systems via optional IrDA USB adapter for post-event analysis and quality assurance.
