The Defi 5C is a fully automatic external defibrillator designed to deliver rapid, effective therapy in cardiac arrest. It employs a three-step defibrillation process with biphasic truncated exponential waveform technology, delivering energy sequences of 150, 150, and 200 Joules. The device automatically analyzes the patient's cardiac rhythm and delivers therapy without operator intervention, reducing decision time and improving outcomes in time-critical situations.
Extensive voice prompts and LED visual indicators guide operators through each step of the resuscitation process. The device features lock-out protection to prevent inadvertent defibrillation, two-button operation for simplicity, and an internal memory capable of storing up to 1500 events with 60 hours of ECG data. Data can be transferred via infrared for post-event analysis and quality assurance.
